Setting up AnyLexic and AnyLexic Server Administrator is an easy and quick procedure.

To install AnyLexic:

1. Download AnyLexic setup file using one of the following links:

http://download.anylexic.com/AnyLexic2Setup.exe

http://download2.anylexic.com/AnyLexic2Setup.exe

2. Run AnyLexic setup file and proceed with the setup Wizard steps.

To install AnyLexic Server:

1. Download AnyLexic Server setup file using one of the following links:

http://download.anylexic.com/AnyLexic2ServerSetup.exe

http://download2.anylexic.com/AnyLexic2ServerSetup.exe

2. Run AnyLexic Server setup file and proceed with the setup Wizard steps.

During one of the steps you will be prompted to select components to install.

The default configuration of components to be installed is selected. It is a Standard Installation, and is shown in the drop-down menu above the options. If you change the default combination, installation type will change to Custom Installation.

You can select Standard Installation from the menu to reset the combination to the default one.

Sample Empty and None database setup options

During one of the steps of both AnyLexic and AnyLexic Server setup you will be prompted to select the type of database being installed.

·	Sample. Best option when you are only starting evaluation of AnyLexic, its features and benefits. This database includes a number of demo dictionaries for your immediate experience. Sample database is recommended for installation during the evaluation period.

·	Empty. When you would like to have a clean start after evaluation, you can move away or delete sample database, install clean database, and start creating or importing your own dictionaries. Empty database is recommended for installation after registration.

·	None. If you are updating your AnyLexic software, you already have your database up and running and there is no need to install another one. No database will be installed in this case.

Note: As a security measure, AnyLexic Software Setup will not overwrite existing database. If you would like to install new database, please move, rename or delete your current database file first.

Database file is located in AnyLexic setup folder: ...\AIT\AnyLexic2.0\Database\ .

Note: C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\ folder may be hidden. You have to make it visible first to find database file.

Firebird Database Server setup options

During AnyLexic Server setup procedure you will also be prompted to adjust Firebird Database Server setup options.

·	AnyLexic Server Administrator

AnyLexic Server Administrator is a "control center" of AnyLexic Server. It is only a management tool, which enables you to control and monitor Firebird Database Server, it is not a server itself.

·	Firebird Database Server and Prepare Firebird Server for work with AnyLexic

AnyLexic uses Firebird SQL Relational Database Server as its "heart", which powers AnyLexic Database. You will have to install it only once. Setup also prepares Firebird for work with AnyLexic.

AnyLexic Server database will be installed in C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\AIT\AnylexicServer2.0\Database\ folder.
