You translate a project using Translator's Workbench in a similar way to all other TRADOS programs. The steps below give a simple guide. For more detailed instructions on using Translator's Workbench, see Translator's Workbench help, the Translator's Workbench User Guide and the Translation Guide.
Create a new project using the relevant T-Window or open an existing project.
Make sure that the relevant translation memory is open in Translator's Workbench. If you wish to use a MultiTerm termbase, start MultiTerm and open the relevant termbase. For more details on using MultiTerm, see the MultiTerm online help and the MultiTerm 5 User Guide.
Click Open/Get . The first translatable segment appears in the source window. This is shaded blue. The target window is shaded yellow, if no match or a fuzzy match is found in the translation memory. If an exact match is found, the target field is shaded green.
Translate in the target window in the usual way using Translator's Workbench. When you are finished, click Set/Close Next Open/Get . This closes the current segment and moves you to the next translatable segment.
When you are finished translating, click Set/Close .
Save and close the project.
Note:
You can move around the project using the Navigation bar.
All the usual Translator's Workbench options are available in the Workbench toolbar.
If you need to put a manual line break in as you translate, press [Ctrl] + [Return].
