The main menu of the demo program is implemented to illustrate the functionality of TWhatsThis and to show some additional help commands. While the File and the Edit menu items do nothing (except the Exit item which closes the window), the Help menu is fully functional.

Each menu item, however, provides context sensitive help. Without TWhatsThis, there is only one method to display context sensitive help for a menu item: to select the menu item and press F1.

With TWhatsThis, the user has three ways to get context sensitive help for a menu item.

1Select a menu item and press the F1 key. The F1 key leads to context sensitive help by default. You can change this by setting the F1Action property of TWhatsThis.  
 
2Select a menu item and right-click it. TWhatsThis will display a popup window with context sensitive help for that item.  
 
3 From the Help menu, select What's this?. This initiates a temporary context sensitive help mode and the cursor changes to a question mark pointer. It still allows you to navigate the menu. As soon as you left-click a menu item, TWhatsThis displays a popup window with context sensitive help for that item.
