Quitting VMware Player

Be sure to quit VMware Player before shutting down the host computer (the computer where VMware Player is running). To quit VMware Player, choose Player > Exit or click the Windows exit button on the VMware Player window or toolbar (the X in the upper right-hand corner).

VMware Player shuts down and the window closes. When you next start VMware Player, it restarts with applications running and files open much as they would be on a laptop computer after you suspended and resumed operation.

You may change the exit behavior in the Preferences dialog box (see Exit Behavior Preferences).
