VMware Player has several indicators to keep you aware of your VMware Player's status. In window mode, these indicators appear on the top of the VMware Player window. In full screen mode, the status indicators appear on the toolbar at the top of your screen.
The activity indicator shows that VMware Player is running. It is represented by the VMware logo of three interlocking squares. This indicator appears in the upper right corner of the VMware Player window and on the right side of the toolbar in full screen mode. While VMware Player is running, the activity indicator is animated.
The status message area is located at the bottom left of the VMware Player window and appears as a text balloon below the toolbar in full screen mode. This is the area in which VMware Player displays any status messages.
On the far left of the toolbar in full screen mode, there is a pushpin icon. If you click this icon, the status bar disappears from view. In this mode, the status message balloon will still appear at the top of your screen. To make the toolbar reappear, move your cursor to the top of the screen. When you move your cursor away from the toolbar, the toolbar will disappear from view again. To keep the toolbar permanently in view, click the pushpin icon again.
