Device Connection Interface Preferences

The options under Removable Devices let you choose whether you would like to control device connection through buttons on the menubar or through a devices menu.

• Select Show on toolbar to connect and disconnect removable devices through buttons on the toolbar. If you select this option, the toolbar shows a button for each removable device on your virtual machine. To connect or disconnect a device, click the button for that device. If a device is connected, the button is depressed (in the "down" position). If a device is not currently connected, its corresponding button is not depressed.
• Select Show as menu to connect and disconnect removable devices from a menu. If you select this option a Devices menu appears. To connect or disconnect a removable device, click Devices, then select the device you want to connect or disconnect from the cascading menu. If a device is currently connected, a check-mark appears next to its name in the Devices menu.
