Configuring Automatic Bridging
Choose:
Edit > Virtual Network Settings > Automatic Bridging
By default, Workstation automatically bridges VMnet0 to the first available physical Ethernet adapter on the host.
To disable automatic bridging, uncheck the option Automatically choose an available physical network adapter to bridge to VMnet0. After you uncheck this option, you can see which physical adapter is bridged to VMnet0 on the Summary tab and on the Host Virtual Network Mapping tab.
If you use automatic bridging, you can prevent one or more physical Ethernet adapters from automatically bridging to VMnet0. Follow these steps to prevent a specific adapter from automatically bridging to VMnet0:
- Make sure the Automatically choose an available physical network adapter to bridge to VMnet0 option is checked.
Note: If this option is not checked, you cannot modify the list of excluded
adapters.
- Click Add.
- In the Add Excluded Adapters dialog box, choose the adapter you want to exclude, then click OK.
To remove an adapter from the list of excluded adapters, select its name in the list, then click Remove.
When you have made all the networking changes you want, click OK.
