Payments page of the Client window allows you to add payment records of your clients edit, delete and link them to invoice records. A general view of the page:
To create a new payment, click the New button and in the appearing New Payment enter the necessary payment information, such as value, date of receiving the payment, notes if any and link this payment with invoices.
To edit payments, select the necessary from the list, and click the Edit, or simply double-click the payment. In the displayed Edit Payment window, you can make changes to the payment value and notes, and you can link this payment with invoices. Note that the last feature is not available during the creation of payments records.
In order to link the payment with invoices, click the Linked with Invoice tab of the Edit Payment window. Here you can create a new link or add a phantom invoice. To create a new link click New Link button, and in the pop-up Select Invoice window, choose the invoice you want to link. Then, click OK to link this invoice, or click Cancel to exit without any changes.
The linked invoice will be added to the list on Linked with Invoices tab.
Now you can change the link value using Edit button or delete the link with invoice clicking Delete button.
Alternatively you can create a phantom invoice linked to the payment: click the Add Phantom Invoice button on the right of the Edit Payment window, and in the pop-up Confirm window, click OK or click Cancel to exit creation. If you click OK, the phantom invoice will be created and added to the Edit Payment window. You will be able to delete it by clicking Delete Phantom Invoice button. Having finished editing the payment, click OK to apply the changes, or click Cancel to leave without saving any changes.
To delete the payment record from the Payments page, select it from the list and click Delete button. The record will be deleted after confirmation.
You can view all existing payments or select only linked/not linked payments to be displayed. Use Status drop-down menu to select the condition for displaying:
Finally, on the Payments page of the Client window you can also see the total figures. Simply click the Calculate Totals button at the bottom right corner of the Payment page. In the pop-up Client Payments window displayed, you will see the Total Payments number and Not Linked number. Click OK to close the box.
As any table you can find in Projetex 2006, list of Payments on the Payments page can be sorted by each column value by clicking the corresponding column caption.
