Saving DjVu Documents

NOTE: Saving, exporting, copying and printing are functions normally available for documents viewed with the DjVu Browser Plug-in. However, you may notice that either the File options or the Selection options, or both, are missing from the DjVu context menu. In this case you are viewing DjVu documents whose creators have included restrictions on these functions for reasons of copyright or security.

You can save either the current page or the entire DjVu document (all pages). 

To save the current page:

1. From the DjVu context menu, choose File, then choose Save Page As…. The Save As dialog box appears.
2. Enter a path or browse to the desired directory, then click Save.

To save an entire document:

1. From the DjVu context menu, choose File, then choose Save Document As…. Or simply click the Save Document button    on the DjVu toolbar. The Saving dialog appears, prompting you to select either Bundled or Indirect (see below).
2. Click Bundled or Indirect as desired. The Save As dialog box appears.
3. Enter a path or browse to the desired directory, then click Save.

Choosing Between Indirect and Bundled

There are two kinds of multiple-page DjVu documents: indirect and bundled. You can save the document either way. Use Bundled if the files will be accessed only in a high bandwidth environment (local files or high-speed intranets, for example). Use indirect if the file will be used in a narrow bandwidth environment.

In bundled documents all the pages are put into a single file. This makes it easy to manage but it also means that all the pages are always downloaded. In indirect documents each page is put in its own file. Only the pages the user accesses are actually downloaded. This makes it more bandwidth-friendly but creates many files per document.
