Backup Server Database

It is recommended to perform regular backups of AnyLexic Server Database for maximum data security. Such backups can be made without interrupting regular work of users or stopping database server, as there is no need to stop server or to turn the database offline.

To perform a backup of your Server Database:

1. Run AnyLexic Server Administrator and switch to Database tab.

2. Click Backup button on the Database tab of the AnyLexic Server Administrator, Version 2.0.

3. Click Select button in Backup Database dialog window to specify the location of backup file. You can also edit name of the backup file using Backup File field.

4. Click OK to proceed with backup operation.

·Database filed shows database, which is being backed up.
·Backup Path displays target path, where backup file will be copied. AnyLexic Server Administrator, Version 2.0 remembers the last path specified. Click Select button to set a different backup file location.
·Backup File displays the default name of the backup file: Year.Month.Day_Hours-Minutes_Seconds_anylexic.fbk. This format is adopted for easy sorting of backups within Windows® file system. You can change it straight by typing in the field.
